This conference, held at the Porte Saint-Martin theatre (around 200 people present) and broadcast live (around 1,900 views in the morning and 1,000 views in the afternoon), provided an opportunity to follow 3 round tables and 4 presentations/keynotes.

For the first time, the entire conference has been simultaneously translated into sign language.

The day started with the round table “Presentation of the first results of the study Cinégalités: who’s populating French cinema?” during which the directors of the study, Maxime Cervulle and Sarah Lécossais, unveiled the first results of this survey on gender equality and diversity in French film production.

The debates continued in the morning with the round table “Being a young scriptwriter: towards a diversity of views?” where scriptwriters, directors, socio-demographers and young scriptwriters participating in the mentoring programme met.

The afternoon began with a time of presentations/keynotes where we talked about the CharactHer campaign and film education, shed light on the presumption of innocence and share a major step in the fight against gender-based violence.

The day ended with the round table: “Sex on the table: how to make sex scenes? The job of intimacy coordinator”. This was an opportunity for a rich and lively debate on the topic of directing sex scenes in cinema post #metoo.
