In May 2018, Thierry Frémaux, Paolo Moretti and Charles Tesson signed the Pledge for parity and diversity in film, audiovisual and animated image festivals. They are committed to generate gendered statistics, to make transparent the list of members of the selection committees, to achieve equality within the governing bodies and to communicate their progress on an annual basis. This first signature constituted the launching of the festival signing campaign in France and internationally. In 2020, more than 150 festivals have signed the Pledge, half of which are in France.
